Jungle Tour

Practice, practice. I am working on my filming skills for this medium.

This is a little tour of the lower portion of the garden. You may note that professional gardeners are often in the same boat as the cobbler's children. As Annie in Austin noted it may still make for a fine cold day diversion.

Until my filming skills improve you can pause the video with the lower left button to stop and focus on any particular plant or section of the garden.

Isn't all this fun technology just entirely too distracting?

I like listening to the sounds of the forest creatures. What is the bush that appears to have a lavender tint at some angles, but looks all white at others? Is that the Philippine Poinsettia still in bloom?

It was a nice cold day diversion! I also liked the sound of the birds in the background.

Yes that is the Philippine Poinsettia still in bloom almost a month later than it should be. Most of the others have shed all their bloom a week ago.

The birds are a constant sound in the garden but are truly loud at sunrise. There are three dove species, myna birds, japanese white eye, cardinals, finches and a mockingbird who visits quite often this time of year to name a few of them.

This reminds me of visiting the Bird Houses at Chicago's Brookfield Zoo - that was always fun when it was cold outside. You caught some great sounds and I was pleased that I also recognized the Philippine Poinsettia.

I want to imagine DrL looking at this and getting well again. You really are a knight.

A knight huh, thanks Annie. Just a wild and crazy idea tossed out for possible consideration.

Blogger comment seems to be having problems. I am not getting e-mail notices and new comments and comment counts are not showing up except on the actual comment page.

I noticed other blogs with the same problem yesterday are working again. I must be last in line.

Oh that last comment seems to have broken the spell.
