This is an attempt to get the Heiau/Pile O' Rocks lower for a full view to see what a weeks worth of lifting and toting as an aside to installing a landscape can accomplish.
I find that one to be especially pretty -- I like the little white heart-shaped petals.
What does your title "orchid bump" stand for? I always thought orchids were those elaborate (usually purple?) flowers that some ladies used to wear with their formal dresses once upon a time.
"Bump" is a term used in forums when a comment is added to a thread to move the position of the thread on the board. In this case I used a new post to move the previous post down on the blog. By then the giant photo of the rocks that had filled the whole page had shrunk on its own so it was pointless.
I know that most of your visitors probably know the name of the plant, but I haven't seen one like it before -- What is it called? I know the title has orchid in it, but this is the only kind of orchid I had seen before.
I haven't got the foggiest idea what the name of this orchid is. Orchids are the largest plant family on the planet and breeders have been going nuts creating new flowers. It is a world unto itself.

So we should comment on the rocks instead of the gorgeous plant? Not likely, Christopher - beautiful plant.

I wish had I has stood back just a bit further so the picture would be in better focus. It really did stop me in my tracks when it caught my eye.
